Completely unexpected a dream came true! After over 15 times in Africa we never got to see a ground pangolin. On our recent trip to southern Angola, which was fully focused on tribal photography something completely unforeseen happened. Close to a dirt road at broad daylight we saw this beauty! Pangolins are critically endangered, mainly due to illegal trafficking to the Asian market. The scales are used for traditional medicine, similar to rhino horn or the tigers in India. This insanity has to stop to preserve this beautiful and innocent creatures.
