This image perfectly represents the habitat of the western lowland gorilla. It’s actually quite challenging to get a clear shot of them. The vegetation is very dense. Nevertheless that makes it exciting! In contrast to the mainly herbaceous diet of mountain gorillas, western gorillas eat many different plants (up to 180 species). They also like insects and termites.
