One of nature’s most fascinating and other worldly animals – the pangolin. Meanwhile it is considered the most trafficked wild mammal in the world. Some estimates suggest that more than 1 million pangolins have been trafficked globally since the year 2000. They are sought after mainly for their scales for use in traditional medicines as well as for their meat, which is considered a delicacy in Asia, especially China and Vietnam. I highly encourage everyone to inform themselves and help save this wonderful and precious species. This book compiles the latest information on pangolins and the dangers they face. I am honored to be part of the book with two photographs of a black-bellied and a white-bellied pangolin photographed in the Central African Republic in order to raise awareness of pangolins and their threats. Also a big shoutout to @sanghapangolinproject doing a fantastic job to preserve these beauties. Rod and his team already saved dozens of pangolins.
