Definitely our closest and most memorable encounter with a wild jaguar in the Pantanal in Brazil. This female got approached by a large male. I call this shot “fierce love”. It was mating season, but the female was not an easy catch 😁 Even the pupils turned into beast mode. No flash was used and it was during broad daylight.
