I wish everyone a lovely weekend!!! This was quite a sighting. Just during golden hour the cub of this female leopard was feeding on an impala kill up on a tree. Not being very coordinated yet, the cub dropped the entire kill out of the tree. A loud bang on the ground and a few milliseconds later the mother was already on the ground and grabbed the kill. It is a lot of effort for leopards to first of all make a kill and then get it up a tree. Luckily there was no hyena otherwise it would have snatched it away. Leopards typically avoid fighting with other predators as an injury can be deadly.
