To witness a carmine-Bee-eater colony is spectacular. We were in the South Luangwa in Zambia at a lodge called Kaingo. They built a hide on the river, right in front of a breeding colony. You go there with a small canoe and observe only a few meters of the river bank. The noise and activity level is stunning!
