Definitely one of the most impressive birds I have ever seen!! During a hike around a lake deep in Uganda I found this stunning African emerald cuckoo perched on a branch. I couldn’t believe my eyes and obviously immediately started shooting. 5-6 images and then it flew off. Since then I never saw one again – even after over 16 times in Africa.
